The Governator

Finally a politician gives a refreshing interview. Arnold Schwarzenegger The Governator from Calyfornia sat down with David Gregory of Meet the Press, and he didn't pull any punches.
Schwarzenegger broke down the current political landscape in about 15 minutes. From Terror to Health Care to his battle to fix the California Budget Crisis. The Governor in my opinion described our current political climate perfectly.

Take some time to watch the Gregory interview it is well worth it.

Clip#1

A couple things I found refreshing. His comments about California's budget issues. I love when he says we have 85 billion in revenues and thats all we can spend. I am not sure I agree with his take on the amount of money owed California, but he makes a good case with his immigration example. But you have to love his "no quit" spirit towards the end of the segment.

Although I believe the Health Care Bill must be passed if the Federal Government is ever going to get a hold of the current debt issue.

I have the utmost respect for Governor Schwarzenegger's "pit bull" attitude when it comes to protecting the interests of California. I also enjoyed his take on Senator Ben Nelson's extorting of the Health Care reform debate. In addition, in a true bi-partisan statement the Governor praises Arnie Duncan the Secretary of Education for their monumental efforts to reform education. An issue you never hear anything about.

The Governator gives a real answer the terror question, not a GOP talking points memo.

Clip#4

This is by far my favorite clip, his vision of America is dead on. We are falling behind in terms of infra-structure and we need to start thinking about what is best for the people not the party. I just wish he would have called out his party on their obstructionist behavior. Although he was very blunt when he said the GOP will have gains in the next election cycle, but not because they have accomplished anything. No truer statement could have been made.
