I always thought this was a stupid remark. What does being tough have to do with policy? Either you support something or you don't. Ezra Klien wrote something funny and true, about toughness and the President today.
If Obama punched 50 pit bulls in the face and then defeated them in hand-to-hand combat, but still refused to torture detainees, what would that do to his toughness quotient?
